    Hi Everyone!

I wanted to introduce myself as I begin my new appointment as Senior Team Leader - Club Development and Health. It's been a busy first week in this new role, and I'd love to share a bit about my journey and aspirations with you.

The majority of my professional career has been centered around health, sports, and recreation. For the last 10 or so years I have worked as the Sports and Programs Team Leader at Kwinana Recquatic which involved running the social sports competitions at the Centre, co-ordinating junior programs along with managing stadium operations.

A bit of a personal background about me is that I was raised in Kwinana and have spent most of my life as a Kwinana resident! I have two teenage children who are actively involved in sports, so am familiar with the challenges that come with running a sporting club.

I wanted to say a big thank you to Chantel Harmer for stepping into the role for the last few weeks and for showing me the ropes on my first week. Thanks Chantel!

I will be at the next Skills Boosting Workshop on Wednesday 9 August at The Wellard Tavern. The topic for August is Collaboration and Conflict Resolution. We still have limited places available, so if you haven’t yet, you can register here. I hope to see you all there!

I am so excited to take on this new role and work alongside the local clubs and organisations in assisting them to thrive in the community. I am always open to ideas and feedback and welcome you to contact me at any time! My best contact details are via clubs@kwinana.wa.gov.au or 9439 0283.
