Help make our Kwinana City Centre a great place to live, work and play!

We understand the importance of public spaces, community facilities and healthy local economies in creating great spaces for people to live, work and play.

A number of projects to improve the livability, vibrancy and connectedness of our City Centre are underway, including the refurbishment of the Council Civic and Administration Building, redevelopment of the Recquatic, and upgrades at the Marketplace. We are now gathering feedback to continue to shape the Kwinana City Centre.

We're inviting you via our survey to share ideas, both big and small, and initiatives for our City Centre, to help us deliver on our City Centre Precinct Structure Plan vision to make the centre a 'vibrant, sustainable and inclusive urban hub'.

Your ideas and feedback will contribute to a Kwinana City Centre Place Plan, a guide for working together to create the best City Centre possible. This guide will be supported by an 18-month action-oriented plan that can be championed by members of the community to create vibrant places for people to connect and enjoy.

Though steeped in history, the current City Centre boarders have been developed over the last decade, and has a mix of housing, services, places to shop, recreate and learn, plus great places to eat and connect.

Here are the five spaces (updated 2 December, from 4 precincts to 5 precincts) we are wanting your feedback on:

  1. Civic Precinct - Koorliny Arts Centre, The Grove, Kwinana Police Station, The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) and City of Kwinana Council Chambers & Administration Centre
  2. Residential Precinct - Medium density housing
  3. City Centre Street Precinct - Darius Resource Centre, The Zone Youth Space, Kwinana Recquatic, The Kwinana Local, Aldi, and a mix of health services and commercial offices
  4. Retail Precinct - Kwinana Marketplace, Bendigo Bank, retail, services and mix of fast food
  5. Commercial Precinct - Bendigo Bank, State Swim and mix of retail & services
