Amendment 166 to Local Planning Scheme No. 2 to expand Development Contribution Area 8 and make minor administrative changes in Development Contribution Plans 2-7

Amendment 166 to Local Panning Scheme No. 2 has been prepared by the City of the Kwinana. The amendment proposes the following:

1. Amending the Scheme Map to expend the Development Contribution Area subject to Development Contribution Plan 8 in Schedule 5 of Local Planning Scheme No. 2 in line with the land rezoned to Development pursuant to Local Planning Scheme No. 2 Amendment 159 and 161 and concurrently with Metropolitan Region Scheme Amendment 1405/57; and
2. Making minor administrative changes to the description of common/civil infrastructure items in DCP 2-7 to better align these with relevant descriptor in DCPs 8-15 for community infrastructure items.

The amendment will enable the City to collect development contributions for community infrastructure, under DCP8, as a condition of subdivision or development.

In addition, the City seeks to incorporate within this Amendment minor administrative changes to DCP 2-7 (common/civil infrastructure items) in order to align the descriptions of infrastructure between the community infrastructure and standard infrastructure DCPs.

Submissions on Amendment 166 must be made in writing and lodged with the undersigned on or before 13 February 2026.

Submitters must include their name and address, in accordance with the requirements of clause 24(1)(b) Planning and Development (Local Planning Schemes) Regulations 2015. All submissions will be acknowledged.
