Two of the most prominent seniors groups in the City of Kwinana are the Kwinana Seniors Citizens Centre and the Kwinana Savvy Seniors.
The Kwinana Seniors Citizens Centre is a local centre for Seniors to meet, join groups, or take part in activities and programs. The Centre is located Harley Way, Medina and can be contacted on (08) 9419 7528 or by emailing: kwinanaseniorsclub@gmail.com
The Kwinana Savvy Seniors are a group of local people who advocate for seniors and collaborate with the City and service providers for the needs and aspirations of local seniors. Both groups have recently been working together on the 2023 Seniors Week activities. Read on for more details!

The City of Kwinana is supporting the Kwinana Seniors Citizens Centre to establish a Kwinana Seniors Ambassadors Program.
The vision of this program is to bring together and support a group of Seniors from Kwinana who will act as positive and healthy ageing champions, and increase the presence of Seniors in the community.
This will be achieved by:
Promoting existing Seniors’ programs, activities and events in the community
Sharing information about relevant services, support and tailored information;
Acting as advocates, by working alongside Kwinana Seniors, their carers or representatives, the Kwinana Senior Citizens Centre, the City of Kwinana and community organisations.
Ambassador Criteria:
Over 55+ years
Live, work or play in Kwinana
Positive role models actively involved in positive and healthy ageing
Skills and desire to continue advocating for Kwinana to be an age-friendly community
Strong communication skills
