The State Public Health Plan was adopted in June 2025, providing a framework for improving the health and wellbeing of all Western Australians. In response, the City of Kwinana is developing a new Public Health Plan that aligns with the state plan—and we want to make sure it reflects what matters most to our local community.
Based on what we've already heard from you, along with the latest health data and advice from our partnering health organisations, we're building a plan focused on prevention, wellbeing, and long-term health outcomes.
Below are the priorities that emerged from our last engagement with the community.
We are currently updating the Public Health Plan to reflect these community priorities, as well as the latest health data and advice from our partner health organisations. Once the draft is ready, we will be back in touch to share it with you for further feedback.
In the meantime, we welcome any ideas or questions you may have below. Alternatively, you can email our Healthy Lifestyle Programs Officer directly: healthylifestyles@kwinana.wa.gov.au

Hi Josh. Alcoa and other major industrial facilities in the Kwinana Industrial Area operate under licenses or works approvals regulated by the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER).For any concerns relating to monitoring and reporting requirements of these premises, please contact DWER directly. However, the City is a participant in the RAC Air Health Monitor program, which makes air quality data for key pollutants publicly available through its webpage.
