The LYRiK Scholarships Program is a mentoring program for young people aged 16 – 24 years who live, work or go to school in Kwinana and have an education or employment goal. Recipients will receive a $1000 Scholarship to help make their goal happen.

We are seeking community members aged 18+ to volunteer as Mentors for young people aged 16-24 years who have received a LYRiK Scholarship. Mentors will support and guide the young person step by step through the process of achieving their educational or employment goal at weekly mentoring sessions.

Eligibility Criteria for Mentors

Mentors must be:

  • 18 years or older
  • Have at least three years experience in their field
  • Willing to commit to 4 x 90 minute weekly mentoring sessions on 2, 9, 16 and 23 May
  • Willing to attend the LYRiK Awards on 20 June

Please Note: Scholarship recipients will be matched with mentors who have suitable skills and experience. This may mean that some mentor applicants don't get matched with a scholarship recipient initially, however there may be other mentoring opportunities in the future.
